Perhaps the X-Men doesn't carry with it the credibility and cool of Marvel's Avengers series.
But the movies still carry a special place in the hearts of comic book fans and the latest entry, which sees Bryan Singer return to the helm, perhaps inspires excitement more than any before.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will see the characters
from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger
selves from the excellent X-Men: First Class.
It is released later this month with added Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage has to be cast in everything now, right?), and much more to potentially delight from James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart going head to head as Professor X and Jennifer Lawrence returning as Mystique.
So what did three of the stars appearing on The Graham Norton Show do to heighten anticipation.
Well, not much as Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender and McAvoy just about let the audience in on their series of in-jokes from behnd the scenes on the shoot.
It would seem the three are now great friends
They were on good form though when they weren't singing Toto. Anecdotes revealed more about their brattish trailer park behaviour than the film (shooting minor cast members in the face) but they were charming more than charmless. And my girlfriend would chanhe the order of hotness which Norton revealed from an official list to Jackman, McAvoy, Fassbender from Jackman, Fassbender, McAvoy for what it's worth.
And, as a footnote, good luck Molly in Eurovision. Good performance, but Norton promised to be drunk and we might need to be too.
