Best News: Grand National results: North Lincolnshire-owned Rose Of The Moon misses out ...

NORTH Lincolnshire-owned horse Rose Of The Moon failed in its bid for Grand National glory at Aintree this afternoon.

The grey, owed by the Barton-Upon-Humber-based Middleham Park Racing syndicate, was aiming to defy bookies' odds of 50/1 and win the world-famous steeplechase.

Ridden by Jake Greenall, the horse was well-placed for much of the race, before slipping back down the field in the later stages.

Its race then ended when it fell at the 26th of 30 fences.

Pineau De Re, ridden by Leighton Aspell, went on to win at 25/1, followed by Balthazar King (14/1) in second and Double Seven (10-1 JF) in third. Click here to see where your Grand National horse finished or fell Follow us on Facebook and Twitter
